cute!
Today I finished up my Gaudi route, visiting the Segrada Familia. It was absolutely stunning and i'd say worth 11E.

There was actually a bit of colour on the building. I believe the original intention was for the facade to be in full colour.
I ate at El Fornet, a bakery across the street from the hotel. I had a tuna sandwich, sweet bread, coffee, and frozen lemonade.

I was exhausted from walking and the heat- today was especially humid and it didn't rain like they were predicting (surprise surprise). It also doesn't help that I'm carrying around my black bookbag...so much sweat!Ew.So i went back to the hotel for a nap.
The nap lasted a,ehm, few hours, longer than I expected. Luckily by then I got a call from Sara! She was back from France and wanted to meet up! So I met her and two friends at the Barceloneta Train station. It was the first ride on the metro, which was a bit grimier than the rail station ride to the airport.

But it was definitely manageable. I got there 15mins before her, and realized that the stop was in Port Olimpic area, also where the beach is as indicated by dozens of sunburned tourists. Sara brought two of her friends with her and, let me just say, how happy and appreciative i was to have met them. They were very sweet and made Barcelona so welcoming. We went to eat and had Pincas(? butchered that), which are small creations of various cheeses, marmalades, and various toppings on a baguette type bread. It is self serving and you pay by the toothpick! Delicious.....!!!

We continued towards La Rambla, a very famous street with performers and pickpockets. Omg, let me stress the creepy mimes. MIMES people! If only i had an image of my 4th grade Mime costume on my computer... I'll have to dig that up when i get back home.... Anyway, the Mimes were creepy. We were too late to see most of the performers. I think i spotted some bboys but they were packing up so no jam sessions:(.
:::side note::: Raymond and Hector, I owe you guys a better dance performance, i.e. not in the living room on carpet!:::::

CREEPY MIMES......

This one was apparently upset that I didn't pay Euros for the photo..so i had to walk away quickly....

never failing every country has some weird signs in English

This was nice, but i have no real idea what the building was.

it was getting pretty late so we parted ways.
Hopefully tomorrow I can actually get souvenirs on top of seeing the fountain at Montjuic, going to the beach, going to the big market in La Rambla, and finally ending the trip at a spot in the hills where i can see the city!
I hope it all works out. Sadly the plane is scheduled for tuesday, at 10AM! so i dont know how I'm going to make it to the airport by 8am..... PRAY FOR ME.
